about G

I’ve always gone off-trail, and along the way I’ve picked up key learnings, cheat codes, friends, and work that I hold near and dear.  The term “Always A Student” is the most important value I’ve learned in my twenty-ish-year career, spanning design, art, marketing, writing, and all things creativish.

I started in toys, which is still one of the most honest and creative proving grounds there is. Designing characters and worlds for Mattel, Fisher-Price, Hasbro, and Kidrobot taught me how emotion really works—how to create bonds at micro levels that scale into something that lasts forever. Play, story, product, experience—all of it working together. That mindset became bedrock.

From there, I moved into entertainment, marketing & advertising, launched tech-animation startups, and found my lane helping ambitious brands do work that defines categories. I’ve led market-shifting campaigns for Gucci, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Adidas, Diageo, Progressive, and Xfinity—work that’s shown up on the biggest cultural stages in the world, from the Super Bowl and Coachella to the GRAMMYs, NBA All-Star, Fashion Week, and Art Basel. My strength is knowing how to collapse the distance between luxury and street, mass and niche, digital and physical—and turn brand ambition into moments people actually want to engage with.

Along my journey, I’ve collaborated with artists, designers, and cultural leaders across music, fashion, and art—from The Weeknd and Pusha T to Post Malone, J Balvin, Paris Hilton, Vince Staples, Gorillaz, Griselda, and institutions like Sotheby’s and Christie’s. The goal is always the same: make work that doesn’t just launch, but lands and shifts culture.

I grew up in Kansas and got shaped by the world—by subcultures, scenes, side streets, and unexpected places where creativity lives. From being a fourteen-year-old with a fake ID and front row seats to Bad Brains, to making art covers, rock posters, and music videos for heroes like Aesop Rock, Queens of the Stone Age, The Black Keys, Rhysers, and more.  I have been fortunate to earn industry recognition along the way—Ex Awards, Toy of the Year, Clios, Webbys, One Show—but what matters most to me are the people I jam with and the influence the work continues to have.
